Feeling Peachy!

Today was a proper snow day, at least 8 inches of fluffy white goodness. We all stayed snug at home, venturing out only to shovel the driveway (thank you to my husband!) and play in the snow. I'm definitely a person who wears makeup because I personally like it, so even though we weren't going anywhere today, I still happily applied a full face. Initially I thought I'd go for the "no-makeup" look, or perhaps a really neutral matte eye with winged eyeliner, but someone I ended up reaching for my Too Faced White Peach palette instead. Despite the winter wonderland snowscape outside, I was definitely in a peachy mood! This is the look I created... I really love how Glistening Peach looks more golden/peachy than pink (I applied it with my finger, which I think has an effect on how the shimmery ones look). The glittery dark purple Peach Passion is also a fantastic shade, so creamy and pigmented! I got no fallout at all with it, which is kind of amazing for a blackened color like this, especially one with glitter chunks! Everything blended smoothly and easily, and I walked away very happy with my work. :)

Some people say the mark of a good palette (aside from actual quality of the eyeshadows themselves) is how many "different looks" you can create with it. For me, the mark of a good palette is how often does it inspire me to use it and how many times do I walk away happy with how I look in the end? I don't care if a palette tends to give me the same general look over and over, as long as I like it every time I use it, then to me it's a good palette.

Not that the White Peach is a one-look palette, at least not in my opinion. Maybe it could've used another midtone or two, but I'm very happy with the selection of colors and the quality of each eyeshadow. I think it's a great palette both by itself and as a companion palette to the original Sweet Peach palette (which I also own and adore). I'm a little sad about the poor experience others seem to have with the White Peach because I love mine so much! Maybe those who dislike it are more vocal on the internet and those who like it just use it and move on with their lives? Whatever the case is, I'm still loving mine 3 months after purchase!
