Supporting Artists is a Lovely Thing to Do

My Instagram feed is a collection of loves- pretty interiors styled by decorators whose taste matches mine, pet accounts showcasing adorable puppies and kittens, photographers in Paris and London who share gorgeous photos of their towns, bloggers who share snaps of their beautiful outfits, and many many others. I also follow a lot of art accounts, featuring many different types of artists; traditional media, stickers, enamel pins, jewelry, cookies, charms, digital art and more! It's wonderful to scroll through my Instagram feed and see the beautiful things that others are doing and creating- many times it inspires me to get up and make something of my own!

The lovely Andreja, whose work I've followed for a long time (years in fact) and who does amazing doll customization projects, is a talented artist who draws adorable artwork and puts out regular Youtube videos that show you how she creates her art- the drawing, the painting, everything! Her Youtube channel also has a lot of tutorial videos, which is fantastic for people who admire her talent and want to learn. Watching her work is seriously hypnotizing and always inspires me to practice more so that I can improve my own art. :) In addition to all this, she turns some of her artwork into acrylic charms and stickers for her Etsy shop, where she also sells the occasional art print.

She recently created an adorable limited edition charm and sticker bundle to celebrate Easter. After watching her create all the artwork on the corresponding Youtube video she published just for the bundle, I couldn't help but place an order! I paid for my order on March 19th, and by March 30th it arrived! Andreja lives in Australia so I expected my purchase to take a long time to arrive, but it came really quickly and beautifully packaged!

My little box was a pleasure to receive and open. Aside from my charm and stickers, Andreja also included an extra Namine sticker (Namine is her white kitty, who she regularly shares on Instagram), a little business card, and a sweet little thank you note. I almost felt like I was opening a present! I planned to use my charm as a bag charm, and I'm happy to say I'm really pleased with how it looks. The stickers I'll be saving for now, but I appreciate them very much. Watching her sketch, line, color, and adjust each little one was so cool, and it really gives a sense of how much love and effort goes into her product. I highly recommend her shop!
